Hi,

Thanks for the notes, I figured that out. Since yesterday I tried to
translate the main page. https://www.whonix.org/wiki/Main_Page/fr
For example, I translated
Main Page -> OK
Screenshots -> NOT OK, I translated the title "Screenshots" and
that's OK but I copy/paste again and again the content <gallery>...</gallery>
and that's screwed everytime. I don't know where it goes and why it
is deleted.

Same for "Thanks to..." -> NOT OK, get deleted again and again.

Please advice.
Thanks
a few Whonix wiki pages were translated. (To Russian, but the
langauge
doesn't matter here.) The translator not having edited using
mediawiki
was confused by the wiki markup.

A big issue is, that wiki pages need to be properly prepared for
translation. This isn't the case yet.

Currently, affected by a bug and confusing for the translator:
<translate>
headline
</translate>

(The bug is, the translation interface asks to translate
text = can_be_translated
}}
but doesn't let the user store it, because it will complain about
unbalanced parentheses.)

Better:

<translate>headline</translate>
So only the really translatable strings end up in the translation
web
interface.

We still don't have a translation coordinator working on these
things.

Links such as Download were translated to
Download-in-other-language. This won't work. Syntax is
naming of link. In other words [[can not be
translated|translate]]. I think it would be better if all links
would
use explicit descriptions such as Download. So the
translator could be told translate.

Cheers,
